I don't fancy using superglue for the brass/wood, I think all the super glue would soak into the wooden superstructure. I could be wrong though. I've used superglue on the dolls house I'm building and it works ok as long as you remember to put some on the wood and let it soak in, then add some more to stick whatever you want to the wood. It holds extremely well then, well it has on the doll house.

have u attached the brass parts yet paul? if yes on the stern super. the 2nd level do u have to sand down the corners to make the bits fit? also just got iss 53 lots of wierd parts!!!! also it looks like we get the start of the catapult in iss 54 not iss 55!!!! also to those who hav/nt attached their brass parts yet it helps with those parts that goes into the slots because you've got a solid back to attache onto.

Chris, by the look of the German sites, issue 53 will be attached to the superstructure directly above the parts you received in issues 49 and 50.
Please let us know how you get on putting the catapult together, I am dreading it!!!

Chris, I havn't glued any brass to the superstructure yet. I've only glued the small bits to the big bits. I want to see how the deck fits in issue 60 before I glue any walls on.

I'll give you a laugh.
I was doing some supergluing yesterday and accidentaly got some glue on my thumb without noticing, I then picked up my scissors and happly did some trimming, thumb and middle fingers touching. I then tryed to put down my scissors.
You can probably picture the look on my face as I gazed at my well and truly glued fingers with scissors caught inside.
unable to find the wifes nail polish remover I had to fall back on using a fresh craft knife to cut my fingers apart......carefully!!!
ten minutes and one small nick later I was free.
As they used to say in Hill Street Blues......be carefull out there people!

Rofl. Yep always have the nail polish remover / acetone to hand before removing the lid on the superglue. Happy gluing without sticking your fingers together or any other body parts. lol ;D

just got iss 54 u get the naff bit of paper to correct the portholes and take of the corner of the front superstructer. u also get the 1st bits of the main catault parts. there really tiny!!! well smaller than i thought they would be. u also get a section to fit over the door on the hanger. now any german who's done the portholes do u need a 1mm drillbit 1st or can u jump to a 2mm bit??? hope someone reads this??? only joking!!!

Hi chris, have you started the catapult yet?
We're all dreading that bit, I think! With my deliveries, I'll only be getting 50 to 53 next week, so it'll be April before I get 54!

It makes an easier and neater job if you start with a smaller drill bit first Chris.
