Is that a bit of soot I see on the superstructure? Has Hms Hood opened with a broadside already?!
Seriously excellent work there my friend.

lol i wish, I've been looking everywhere for a 1/200 scale HMS Hood but cant find one , the soot was an attempt to fix a slight gap i had between the two brass panels as the bottom one hadn't bent properely, and it did the trick

I've just finished issue 86, and for the people who aren't quite there yet i'll warn you that the hoist you have to make is a pain in the arse, a good pair of very small tweezers would help a lot

Well done Daniel, nice job on the brasswork. With mine, I seem to get too much superglue on the joints leaving it a bit lumpy, in spite of trying to be careful. Yours seems to be spot on!!!!

ive built a little tool - a needle glued into a wine cork bottle. Drill a small hole in the cork and voila a tool for dropping minute amounts of super glue onto the brass work. Although I am using Bostik Impact glue on the main parts of the brass work. But again great brass work there.

Interesting idea chill, I've just bought a smallish bottle of superglue with a brush as part of the handle. Nice work there Daniel.

looking good daniel! can't wait for the brass bits to be delivered here, I'm genuinely looking forward to bendinging them and gluing them in place! ( well, not bending them, but glueing is going to be fun )

Interesting idea chill, I've just bought a smallish bottle of superglue with a brush as part of the handle. A word of warning Skyfire! That glue is available here as "Loctite easibrush". The problem is that the brush picks up contamination when brushing the glue onto the parts. When the brush is put back into the bottle, the glue in the bottle starts to get contaminated and after a week or two, turns jelly like.
