That's looking really good Daniel.
Is that an eyebrow I spy above the bridge windows - well done.
You're further along than I am. I'm looking forward to finally putting the gun barrels in place.

hI Daniel, what colour did you paint the topside of the aircraft? Hachette quote RAL 6003, which is an olive green or Humbrol 117 which is US light green!!! (page 258 of instructons), guess they are confused as I am! From the pictures and yours, looks more like olive drab than light green! Yours are coming along nicely .

Hi Swanrail, I don't actually use the colours recommended, I dont use the humbrol paints or anything like that. I just find them too much fuss..
I use Gamesworkshop Citadel paints, they're so much easier to use and I have a large supply so I just use them, for the planes I just mixed one of my greens and black until I got a colour I liked, I tried to get it the same as the photo, but it came out a little darker. I'm happy with it though because the only people that know the truth are you lot, whereas if any of my friends saw them they wouldnt have a clue! lol

I'm back! Hello hope everyone is well. I've been wrapped in college for months and have had NO chance to do any work on bismarck....until now! They're only small additions, and i've taken to not really following the issues, depending on what time I have i'm just doing bits and pieces. I am a good 20 issues behind...not completely though. I bought the rest of my issues yesterday and now only 3 to go! And I have a question for you all, do you have this problem too? As you can see despite the sanding that we were told to do the addition of the plastic lockers has just filled the gap again. Any more sanding and there will be now back wall at all....any ideas? and now some small updates Only a quick post as i'm off to college again! hope everyone else builds are going well also Daniel

Um, looks like you may have to do a bit more sanding Daniel.
I keep looking at my hangers wondering the same thing.....I have'nt put on the last plastic bits yet, I'll make up my mind when I do.

Yeah sanding seems to be the key the only problem is that if I sand it any more the boat wont fit in its cradle properly, I'll have a play about and see what happens.

Hi Markus, did you have this problem? yep, the hangars were way too wide.. i sanded off 2-3mm on each hangar (inner wall) markus

I saw a comment about the hangers being too wide - can't remember where now - maybe your build Markus ? I was thinking of replacing the inner wall with plastic card to avoid hours of sanding and the mountain of dust (and the ear ache that goes with getting the house all dusty !) By the way Markus, your signature is a bit out of date

I'm thinking of just living with the problem. I can see no easy way around it and figure I can live with this small imperfection in the ship. I doubt if anyone viewing my boat at my house will ever know the difference.
