Here is my build, in The Netherlands we just started so I'm a "little" behind on the rest of you.
I was a little late on starting so I got issues 2 to 9 in the space of 2 days resulting in this after just one days work. Nothing is glued at this moment.
The bottom plates are glued together and weight down with pieces of lunch, dinner and some books. The bow section is in place just for fun.
The first stringers in place, the pieces 8 are there to make sure it fits.
This is where I am now, everything is glued except the stern part. I'm going to put 3 motors inside her so I have to modify the vertical stern piece. I want to wait until I have part 10 before assembling the stern. While in the process of placing the stringers the bow section lifted up a little sow I placed a weight on it for almost a week solving the 'problem'.
As said before I'm going to make her RC with 3 motors from Markus. I want to motorize all turrets and try to motorize the range finders to by placing them on a stick connecting them to a servo below decks. I think I will only motorize the for and aft range finders leaving the top range finder unharmed. It should look very nice to see the range finders rotate with the main turrets. I might also take a shot at motorizing the gun elevation for the main turrets.
I want to use the 6-channel radio I use for my 1:16 tanks, giving me 4 fully proportional, one on/off and one half proportional channel (0 to 1). I want to use the fully proportional channels for the throttle, rudder and 38cm turrets rotation, leaving the forth for either 15cm turrets rotation or 38cm turret elevation. I want to try to use the on/off channel with a switching module to select the for or aft 38cm gun turrets giving me the option to point all guns to a target which is not at 90 degrees. The half proportional channel will be used for the 15cm turrets if the 38cm turret elevation works.
