Nicely done Baz. I see some minor struts missing from those cranes.. Did you chose not to put them on? I spent 1 hour doing 1 crane last night and took a break. I found them quite demanding because of the tiny size of the components. A few pieces pinged off, but I was lucky enough to retrieve them.
Nice mod - I noticed that setup fro a few Bismarck pictures and wondered why they chose to have the blocks together on our model.

I went looking for some photos of the superstructure the other night and came across another website forum that has a section on the Hatchette Bissie. Can't find it again, otherwise I would have copied and posted one of the comments. Very interesting reading He mentioned just how detailed this partwork was and would be surprised if the kit came out for sale under $2,000.00 He felt Bissie was the best partwork to date. Sky, you might know as you were on there Apart from that, mum passed away this morning, (RIP...... I'll miss you), so I'm off to NZ for a few days to keep dad on the straight and narrow. She's had a good innings and although sad, it will finally give dad a little freedom in his later years Mind you, he's dedicated his life to mum, so hope he doesn't end up a bit of a lost soul Can't take Bissie with me so, will give her a well earned rest Just a couple of photos of some more funnel construction. I put it together then glued it in place by eyeball only Amazingly it sits against the main superstructure perfectly And aren't the searchlights just brilliant !! Need to paint them and add some metal foil inside before adding the lenses Issue 137 down and only 3 to go ..................... ...... what am I saying, I'm oly about halfway there. But, what is completed looks a treat on the piano. Baz

Hi Baz,
Very sorry to hear about your mum. I hope your dad is OK.
You continue to do an amazing job, adn I think you're right about the Bismarck being the best partwork out so far. The Titanic was pretty good, but this is streaks ahead. It'll be interesting to see how well the DeAg Victory stacks up against it.

So sorry to hear about your mum Baz. God bless her . mike My thoughts are with you and your dad too. If she's a Christian, Easter is a great day of Christian hope and promise. Years ago my mother died on the Monday of Holy Week, and a few years later my sister's mother-in-law died on Good Friday. Stay strong. nm
